Carolyn  Bennett

Carolyn Bennett, 91, formerly of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 in her home with her daughter by her side. She married her late husband, Edward Holland Bennett on July 1, 1944.
Born and raised in Savannah, GA, she was the daughter of the late Herbert J. and Mina Lee Jaudon Corbett.
Carolyn was a lifetime member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Savannah. She was active with the Girl Scouts and also the local Garden Club. She was a loving and devoted mother.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Holland Bennett Burke of Exton, PA; two grandchildren, Michael Edward Burke and his wife Marilyn R. of Alabama and Kathryn Burke Tollison and her husband Eric C. of Utah; two great grandchildren, Kyla G. and Kinsley H. Burke and her daughter-in-law, Terry B. Bennett. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, James Robert Bennett.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral: 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
